FOOTBALL.
-THURSDAY PLAYERS. The meeting of Thursday players called for last night took place in Dustin’s rooms, when there was but a moderate attendance. Tho chair was taken by Air. Dustin. The secretary pro tern., 'Air. AI. Ansell, read the minutes of the previous meeting, and they were confirmed. A list of 83 playors who have definitely promised to play on Thursdays was handed , in, and was considered extremely satisfactory. Air. Wilkinson proposed, nnd Air. Dustin seconded, that the proposal to run trade teams be rescinded, and club teams be substituted. Aiessrs. Dustin, "Wilkinson ,and Alorse were elected a deputation to meet the Ilugby Union this evening. It was decided on the motion of Mr. Dustin that Aiessrs. Ansell arid Osborne each convene :a metting of players with the object of forming two teams. The ineeting concluded’ with a vote of thanks to Mr. Ansell for his efforts in endeavoring to promote tho interests of Thursday football.
