Press Association. HAW I ERA, May 14. The Taranaki Provincial Conference of the Farmers’ Union was continued to-day. Amongst the more important resolutions were: . (1) A protest against export duties on farm produce. (2) Continued resistance to the referendum, the fair rent bill and alteration to local bodies franchise. (3) Favoring universal military training and. an increased contribution to the un-keep of the navy. (4) Favoring abolition of conciliation boards.
