A presentation was made yesterday afternoon- to Air E. Austen by the ■sliophamls and drivers of Messrs AN . J Cox and Co., upon the occasion of liis marriage. -The gift took the form of a jardiniere and hall-stand. Tho presentation was made by Afr. E. A . Usiton, and Air. Austen suitably responded. - . _ A’csterday afternoon Air. G. \\. Aitlcen, eldest son of the Iter. G. K. Ait’ken, ST Foxton, was married to Miss Nellie Foster, third daughter of Air. J. F. Foster, of Gisborne, ino ceremony was - performed bj tlie father of the bridegroom at the residence of the bride’s parents, AA hataupoko, when, a .large number .of guests were entertained.
