DISCOVERY OF MOA BONES.
FOUR SKELETONS FOUND

A most interesting discovery' of moa bones was made oil Thursday last by Mr. B. Watkins omMr. WalnV property, Horekore. Entering a cave on the side of a mountain near Hikurangi, the entrance tc v’hich m surrounded by dense bush,Mr. Watkins found the bones of at least four oirds. The cave is rather damp, but the bones are in a fair state .ot pre--1 This, is believed to be the first discoverv of moa bones an this distract, and is bound to arouse considerable nterest throughout New Zealand.
