COLLAPSE OF AIRSHIP.
INJURY TO OCCUPANTS.
SIXTEEN CASUALTIES
(From our Tnparoa .Correspondent.) NEW YORK iuuy 21. Tho Morel airship, 460 ft-. long, propelled by five 40 horse-power engines, fell 300* feet on -its trial trip in the presence of 1000 spectators at Berkeley, California. Sixtoen occupants were seriously injured, sustaining fractured limbs. Tho victims were local residents, contemplating investment in a company proposing to build similar airship's.

Morrell claimed that lie had discovered the successful combination of the principles of aeroplanes and dirigible balloons. When at a height of 300 feet, lus airship tilted nos« downwards. The envelope burst, and the airship fell slowly until 75 feet from the ground, when- it collapsed. The occupants jumped, and seven were severely injured, others but slightly. The inventor had* his leg broken-)
