The second day’s racing in connection with the Takapuna Jockey Club’s winter meeting took place this afternoon. The weather was anything but favorable, and the racing track was very heavy. Results:— Pupuke Handicap, of 80 sovs, o-i furlongs.—Tauriki 1, Cyreman 2, Explosive 3. Also started: Lady Bessie, Escamillo, Fremantle, Alleta, Firelock, Kotiti, Lady Ferris, Fodeles. Won by a length. Time, lmin 15 3-5 sec. Tauriki was favorite.
