DEATH OF A WOMAN.

INQUEST ADJOURNED. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, May 26; Tho death of a young woman was reported to tho police yesterday and an inquest was held to-day. ■> Tho medical evidence was to tiio effect that death was probably due to septicaemia, deceased having apparently suffered a partial miscarriage, induced by the use of an instrument. A man who lived with the woman stated he was the father of tho child and had endeavored to persuade her not to avoid maternity. She was averse to seoing a doctor, but became ill, and he summoned a doctor. _ She was then in extremis and died shortly afterwards. The inquest was adjourned until Thursday for an analysis.
