Mr. W. D. Wilkinson, who has for the past couple of years been engaged as Air. Robort Hay’s inspector of tho main pipe lino portion of tho waterworks contract, has decided to sever liis connection with tho municipal undertaking. Air. Wilkinson intends to devote the wholo of Ins energies to the sawmilling industry, having acquired interests in the timber industry at Rakauroa. The completion of the contract will, it is understood, be out under the personal supervision of Mr. B. Couston, who is expected to arrivo in Gisborne on Saturday.
