Pollock, Bristow, Alorritt, Bryant, Butterworth,O’Nell, Gardner, Fromm, and Craig; emergencies, P. AA'yllie, Harding, and O’Aleara.

The visitors wero met at Dunedin station by drags, and were driven to their hotels amid cheers. This welcome was purely informal, and an official welcome takes place to-morrow. . ... At present tho weather indications arc favorablo for Saturday’s match. AVELLINGTON, Alay .28. At a meeting of the Management Committee of. the New. Zealand Hu gby Union to-niglit, the appointment of Dr. Crawford, of Invercargill, as referee in the British-Otago match was agreed to. A suggestion from Otago Union that a practice between the New Zealand representatives and Otago be played oil June. 3rd was not acceded to, the committee considering that the element of risk to the players was too great.
