HOCKEY.

The usual weekly meeting of the Poverty Bay Hockey Association was held in the Royal Hotel last night. Present: Aiessrs Pavitt (president), J. Alartin (vice-president), and delegates Garrott, Davy, Lewis, Olsen, Grant, and Sargisson (hon.sec.). A letter was received from the l overty Bay Rugby Union re appointing a gatekeeper in conjunction with their appointee. —It was resolved to appoint a gatekeeper. A letter was received from tlie iaranaki Association, re playing that Association en route to Auckland.- — Decided to let the matter stand over for the present. Tho protest from tlio City Club against- AA’est End on 21st Alay was dismissed, as there was not sufficient ground to uphold it. The matches for next week will bo: Te Rau v. West End, -at 2.15; and Kia Kaha v. City, at 3.20. Referees, ■Aiessrs Laurenson and Olsen.
