GOLF.

There was a large number of players out on the links on Saturday iiftornqou,; and the perfect weather which prevailed was conducive to good rounds. The second monthly medal competition was held, and resulted in a win for W. G. Evans, with a score of 111)—17—93. In the tournament- S. Murray (15) and P. Barker (25) met, the former eventually winning by 3 up. During the week, J. M. Curtis (12) and W. G. Evans (17) got off the game in the “B” grade of the tournament,.the latter winning at the eighteenth hole by 1 up. For the monthly medal some good cards were handed in. Lady players were out ip force, and lent animation to the scene on the links. Mrs. R. U. Burke and -Miss M. "Williamson provided afternoon tea. -
