DRUNKENNESS
A native named Ropitini Henare was convicted of a third offence of drunkenness within a. period of six months, and was fined £1 with 2s costs, in default 4 days’ imprisonment. ‘ .
Patrick Guinness, alias McClusky, alias Cronin was convicted of a similar offence, and a penalty of 10s with 2-s costs was imposed, with the alternative of 4S hours gaol.
ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER Walter 'Symons, on remand, was brought up to answer the above charge. On tlie application of Sergeant Hutton a further remand was granted until (Monday 29th inst.
