A QUESTION OF COMMISSION. SUIT AGAINST THE MAORI TEAM United Press Association. Copyright (Received June 23, 10.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 23. A. Jack, who. with Asher, conducted flu; early negotiations for the visit of the Maori team, brought an equity suit against Asher and the members of the .team, claiming a commission on tlie takings. After Jack bad initiated negotiations, the '.natter was taken over by the New South Wales League. Plaintiff claims that lie agreed with Asher to take 5 per cent of the team’s gate money and divide the commission with Asher for the latter’s part in completing the arrangements. Asher, in a letter, is alleged to have offered Jack 2] per cent of the team’s share of the first gate money, but never agreed to pay commission. Defendant was allowed twenty days to enter an appearance to the suit.
