COURSING.
A meeting of the Poverty Bay Coursing Club was bold last evening in the Royal Hotel. Present: Messrs (). Hanson (in tlie chair), D. J. Barry, J. F. Pettie, J. J. Martin, It. Davidson, AV. Harding, H. Patterson, J). Sutton, A. Kinuimont, and C. Morse (bon. sec.) An apology for non-nt-tendancc was received from Dr. Collins.
It was resolved, on. tlie motion of Mr. I). J. Barry, that, tlie club bo registered under tlie Unclassified Societies Act.
A further suggestion to affiliate with the Coursing Association of New Zealand was unanimously adopted. Messrs D. J. Barry , aiid I). Sutton were appointed to the ground committee vice Messrs G. B. Oman and C. Neale, who have left the district.
The Club is now in ii sound financial position, and it is expected - that the new phrmptbii will be completed about the end of July. ' The secretary (Mr. C. Morse) states that tho club is desirous of purchasing hares, and he would be pleased to receive information from any person in the district who is in a position to .trap them.
