GISBORNE CLUB SEMI-FINALS.’ The, fine weather yesterday ai'tornon was taken full advantage of by bowlers, and tbe Kaiti greens were crowded with players. Chief interest centred in the handieaj) competitions, although some interesting practice games were also clayed. In the Handicap Fours Honnessy’s team met F. Martin’s lour, and a desperate contest ensued, in which each side scored very evenly throughout, and finally resulted in a win for the former. Some very fine play was witnessed in this match, and it aroused a good deal of excitement. In the Junior Fairs Kymc anil Zachariah mot Miller and Crawford, and had a very easy win by a 'majority of S 3 points. In the Colts’ Singles J. F. Pettie defeated Bullock after a very closely contested game by one point. Tfie following are the detailed scores:— Handicap Fours:Williams,O'Meara, Corson, and liemiessy (skip) 20 beat Fordyce, Wilson. Ambr.idgo, and F. A. Martin (skip) 19. The rinks were level on the Bth, 10th, 12th. loth, and 20th heads. The winners now meet Simeon’s four in the filial.
Junior Pairs: Zachariah and Kymo (skip) 40 beat H. Miller «ml R. Crawford (skip) 7. Tile winners play Hansen and Bullock in the final.
Colts’ Singles: J. F. Pottle 18 heat Bullock 17. The winner will meet T. Clarkson in tile final.
