Galliehan, Government organiser. wi is at Eltliam yesterday, with a view of selecting one ol : the three candidates out for Egmont in the Government interests, for his official recognition. He failed to get the candidates to pledge themselves to stand down- if desired, and consequently will make no recommendation re a choice of candidate. Air. Galliehan says that -a. candidate w-lio will not submit his name for consideration and agree to abide by the party’s decision lias no right to expect nomination.
