Monfries, on behalf of the Presbyterian Mission, has intimated that that organisation would be willing to appoint him manager of such a college to appoint other instructors and to.erect a building if some term of occupation was fixed. Air. Alonfries has also said the land would remain'Maori property, and any profits would go to the owners. The college will be -undenominational, and the Anglican clergyman and one of ths leading chiefs (a Roman Catholic) are •agreeable to the proposals. ' The Commission has made a report to the Government, and this will probably be disclosed when Parliament meets.
