FINAL COLTS’ MATCH. The filial round .in the Colts’ match arranged by tlio Gisborne Club took place on th'e’Kaiti green on Saturday afternoon, when T. Clarkson defeated J. F. I’ettie by 17 points to 12. Both players were in golid form, and kept close to the jack throughout, the scoring being very even. Clarkson, however, lasted the better, and scoring on four successive heads towards tho end of the .game, had tlio match virtually won at tlie 20tli. The scores after each head woro as follows, the winner’s total, being mentioned, first : 2—o. 2 —l, 3 —l, 3 —2, 3—3, 4—3, 5 —3, .5—5, G—s, O—G,0 —G, o—7, G—B, 9 3. 11—8,. 11—9, 11—10. 12—10, 14— 10. 15—10, 17—10, 17—12. A numbor of practice games woro also played, tho fine weather having attracted n large number of bowlers to the green.
