STOCK. There is not much business doing in stock, as the slick season is now on, and both freezing companies have practically closed down. The usual fortnightly sale will be held at Alatawliero on Thursday next. PRODUCE. Tlio grain market right throughout has a weakening tendency, and flour, now quoted locally at £ll 10s, will probaiily see a further fall before the end of the month. Local merchants are careful not to speculate in large quantities, so that very little business ha 6 been doiug in this commodity in Gisborne during the past week. The prices fixed by the' New Zealand Flour. Alillers Co-operative Association, Ltd., last Week were:—Sacks £lO 10s, bags £ll, 501 b bags £ll os, 251 b bag 6 £ll 10s; but freight .and wharfage have to be added to these prices in Gisborno. Wheat is worth os 2d per bushel locally. • Chuitf is selling at £6 to £6 10g. Potatoes are quoted at £4 10s for Up-to-dates, .and £4 15s for Derwents. . . .

Cocksfoot: The cocksfoot seed market is quiet and very -uncertain. The American crop is expected to be good. Bright, clean 171 b seed is quoted at oUs per cwt nominal.
