SCHOOL HOURS.
MOTION CARRIED BY EDUCATION BOARD. RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION FACILITATED. [Press Association.] NAPIER, July 13. Tlie Hawke’s Bay Education Board to-night, by 5 votes to 3, carried a motion fixing school hours at 24£ per week and not exceeding 5 per day. It is generally understood that _ the object of the motion is to facilitate the giving of religious instruction.in schools where committees are favorable.
