I can see, inside and outside of tile Court, that the loose bringing up of children in the absence of anything like true home 'influence, neglect to inculcate a proper appreciation and reverence of the holy, and the consequent and deplorable disrespect of children for their' elders, is a living scandal to our society, and is tending to undermine the whole moral and social farbric.” He ordered the boy in question to receive tavelve strokes of the birch.
