This afternoon the Gisborne ladies team met a. Hastings team, and suffered defeat by two goals to one. lhe name was a close and interesting one, Rut the superior combination of the home team proved too much, for the visitors. Of tho Gisborne ladies Misses AValters, Sawyer, and Erskino wore particularly prominent in both defence and attack. NAPIER, July, 22. Teams representing the Gisborne Ladies’ Hockey Club and tho le Kooti" (Hastings) Club played a match at Corn wall Park, Hastings, to-day. The game was fast and interesting, and ended in a win for Te Kooti by two goals to one.
