In the second monthly competition for ladies, held last Thursday, the A division was won by Miss F. Adams (scr.), with a score of 60, and the B division by Mrs. Blair 87 —30—57. The next best cards were: —Mrs. Colo 71—10—61; Miss DeLautour, 71— 9 —62 ; Mrs. Morgan, 64—-scr —64; Miss Tucker. 82—12-7-70; Mrs. Barlow, 73—2—71. ' ' / In the semi-finals of the ladies’ tournament Miss Adams defeated Miss Sweet, and Mrs. Barlow defeated Mrs. Cole, the tournament being finally won by Mrs. Barlow. The ladies have received from the English Golf U.nion a very pretty medal to be played for at the-end of season. To qualify for competition players have to return a number of scoring cards, from which they are handicapped according to English Golf Union rules. Only players earning a handicap of 25, or less, given according to these rules, are qualified to enter. As tho competition is to bo played over an 18-hole course, the ladies will play round their course twice, omitting the first and last holes each time, thus making up the 18 moles. The committee lias appointed those Fridays that are not down on the programme for matches as scoring days. Players may arrange their own partners, and return cards to tho secretary. The following are the scores handed in lay competitors in the mixed foursomes, played on Saturday afternoon: —Mrs. O’Meara and 15.l 5 . Keiha 78— % —76; Mrs. Burke and R. U.
