ROWING.

N.Z. ROWING ASSOCIATION. [Phess Association.] WELLINGTON, August 10. Tlio Council of the New Zealand Rowing Association met to-night-. The Lake George Club was admitted to affiliation, and is to be attached to -the Southland Rowing Association. The Secretary to the Customs Department notified that a vote would be placed on the Supplementary Estimates to cover a refund of duty paid on racing boats for which orders were sent prior to August 9th, 1907. This would not include a refund on sculls dutiable under the ' old tariff. Refunds will be made to 'dubs at the ports at which duty was paid. Unsatisfactory replies having been received from the Auckland Rowing Association in reference to an event at the last regatta, the matter is again to be referred to the Auckland body, with a request for definite information within three weeks. Mandiville Road, near the Addington was fixed for October 12th.
