DEPARTURE OF CHTNESE. TRANSVAAL GOVERNMENT’S ATTITUDE. United Press Association, Copyright (Received August 13, 10 p.m.) DURBAN. August 13. Two thousand one hundred and peventy repatriated Chinese have sailed from Durban. The Transvaal Government haagreed to legalise the status of Asiatics who have voluntarily registered before May 10th, or have obtained certificates of registration under the Asiatic Act of 1907. It is proposed to restrict trading licenses to Asiatics who have thus qualified.
