TWENTY DAYS OVERDUE

AUCKLAND, August 18. The steamer Aeon is now some 20 days overdue on tlio 'massage front San Francisco to Auckland, and 110 tidings of her whereabouts have been received. When tho Aeon was last at Auckland sho was in charge ol Capt. E. A. Domic, who was accompanied by bis. wife. Tlio deck officers■ were: Chief, Mr. D. Thomas; second, Mr. A. S. Leek; third. Mr. M. Lancaster. The engine department was in charge of Mr. J. Mirrott, with Messrs H. Irving, W .A. Thornton, andy-AI. llastio. The vessel carries a Chinese crew, including sailors, firemen, stewards, and servants, numbering about 30.
