LONDON, August 27. Mr. Lloyd-George has authorised a statement to he made that he has not arrived at a definite conclusion regarding the only object of his visit to Germany, namely, to see. whether a contributing system could, as far as ■invalidity and sickness are concerned, be grafted on the British old age pension scheme. He is tremendously impressed with the perfection of the svstem whereby Germany raises 31 million pounds sterling for meeting invalidity, old age, and sickness pensions. while the State’s contribution merely covers working expenses. \v hen clerks and widows are shortly included the total will be 53 million pounds per annum.
