The Tliules Union Congress at Nottingham censured the Hon. John Burns and Aiessrs F. Muddison and H. Vivian, AI-P.’s, for opposing the Right to Work Bill. Several delegates denounced the Salvation Army methods, it being alleged that the under-paying and sweating in the joinery department of the rescue work was competing injuriously with private firms and weakening the position of trade unionism. The resolution was not pressed as negotiations with General Booth are proceeding.
