REQUIREMENTS OF THE ACT,

[Fbess Association.]

. TIMARU, Sept. 15. At a meeting of tlie Hospital Board to-day the chairman referred to like Act or last session regarding boarding out children, which required every place taking children under 6ix years to be registered' as a, board’. He considered the requirements of the Act in regard to-keeping a record book and other formalities would make Ltf very difficult to obtain homes for children other than in public institutions, which were more expensive and less desirable titan private homes. It was decided to approach the Minister for Health and the local M-P.’s to endeavor to have the Act amended in. order to exempt^charitable aid boards from its provisions.
