PRODUCE MARKETS. Messrs F. S. Malcolm and Co., auctioneers, report tbo following juices realised at their auction sales of produce on Saturday : —Roosters 2s Od to 3s Cd, hens Is lid to 2s 6d, butter Is, eggs Is doz, parsnips and carrots Is 6d a bag, aj)j)le6 6s 3<l a case, pumpkins 'ls doz, onions 2d lb, IGs cwt, potatoes 6s to 126 6d sack, £7 per ton, marrows Is 9d per doz, lemons 6d, email vegetable's as usual. Eggs are scarce, and all supplies sell readily. HORSE SALES. Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., yarded about 37 horses at Wyllie’s horse bazaar on Saturday. There was good competition, and most of the horses on offer sold at fair prices. Hacks realised from £3 10s to £7 10s for poorer sorts, better sjorts selling up to £l2 10s. A draught gelding was passed in at £2O. Mr. Currie also offered a small yarding of horses at auction, hacks selling at from £5 to £8 10s. Mr. J. C. Field’s live-year-old thoroughbred stallion Cavalier was on parade during the afternoon, and was groatly admired. Cavalier is stationed this, year at Homebush, Makauri, and being a Penrose—Musket house, is likely to get good stock. Tho stallion was most successful at the stud last year, and lie should prove of value to well-bred mares in tho district. EXPORTS FOR AUGUST. The exports from tho port of G/J----liorno during tho month of August were:—lo,272c\vt of beef, valued at £11,984; 29,437 carcases of mutton, weighing 14,409 cwt, valued at £lO,879; 2924 carcases of lamb, weighing 92Scwt, valued at £1298; 9y2 hides, valued at £1084; 23,544 sheppskins; valued at £1962 ; 120' tons of tallow, valued at £2109; Ujii'd 348,2161bs of wool, valued at £9751.
