FRIDAY EVENING’S SITTING. [Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Sept. 19. In tlio Houto, after midnight, on clause 9, the penalty against tlio worker was increased to £25, anil on tho 'notion of Mr. A. It. Barclay a new clause was added nroviding against tho locking-out of workers in dangerous trader without a month’s notice. In clause 10, the period of suspension was reduced from three to two years. The clause was then passed by ■l7 votes to 25 votes.
At clause 13 members pointed out that clause 97 of tho Act of 1905 would have to ho repealed. Hon. J. A. Millar said' he would look into the matter, and the clause was agreed to. In clause 14, a new sub-clause moved by Mr. A. It. Barclay, that a summons shall he served l Hyp days before hearing, was agreed to. At clause 19 progress was reported, and the House rose at 1.30 a.m.
