CRICKET.

TE RAU CLUB. The annual meeting of the Te Ran Cricket Club was held last evening in the Cosmopolitan Club. There was -a good attendance, and Mr. T. G. Lawless presided. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The bat donated by Dr. Collins was presented to tho winner, Air. J. Moore, and the gold medal donated by Alessrs G. K. Pasley aikl T. G. Alessrls AV 7 . J. Scholium, T. Hogan, and AV. Lee Archer were elected new members. The Chairman congratulated the club on their performances last season, and said they should do their utmost to encourage young players. He;, had always believed in teaching the hoys early, and suggested giving the raw material the most chances. After a hearty vote of thanks to the chairman the meeting terminated.
