POVERTY BAY ASSOCIATION
A well attended meeting of the above Association was held an the British Empire Hotel last evening, Air. AV. F. Cedenvall in the chair.
The principal business of the evening was to consider the offer of Air. A. Fenton, of Napier, to act as custodian and coach to the Association. Members expressed themselves as most desirous of obtaining Air. Fenton’s services, "and the .following motion, proposed by Air. Cary, and eeconded by Air. Maude, was carried unanimously: That this meeting be adjourned till Friday next, 2nd October, and that the whole Association form a committee to canvass for donations towards the expense, and to report at the adjourned meeting, and that Air. Fenton be asked to hold his offer open for a fortnight.
Tlie date of tlie annual meeting was fixed for 9th October, and -it behoves all cricketers to bo in attendance. A hearty vote of thanks to the chairman terminated tho meeting.
