POVERTY BAY CLUB

A meeting of the committee of the Poverty Bay Rowing Club was held last evening. The secretary reported that the plant hail been repaired and varnished, and advico had been received from Mr. Norton that tlie two new four-oar boats wore well on their way to completion. Fifteen new members were proposed and elected. The secretary also advised receipt of several donations and trophies for competition during the forthcoming season. Arrangements were made in connection with the opening regatta, which it is proposed to hold on Thursday, October Bth.
