There was a large attendance, including tho Governor-General and tho Governors of West Australia and New South Wales. Results: — , Hurdles, 2] miles.—Oelus 1, 1 ort Light 2, Jowel Case 3. There were eleven starters. Won by seven lengths. Time, 4min 16sec. Trial Stakes, li miles.—Virtu 1, Legation 2, Alentmore 3. There were nine starters. AVon by half-a-lcngth. Timo, 2min Bsec. A.XC. Derby, li miles.—Parseo 1, Alonobel 2, Alother Goose 3. Thero were nine starters. Baw Bee, Lord Nolan, and Vavasor wero the first to show from a splendid start. Passing the old standj Alother Goose and ■fi Perkeo wero leading from Monobo , and stowed the way along the back stretch from Alonobel, with Anki and Lord Nolan and tho rest close up. At tho bend the position of tho leaders was unchanged, Alonobel being third. , Alothec Goose, With Perkeo, was hist. - into tho straight from Parseo and . Alonobel. Parsee, in the centro, ; made a brilliant run and went to the front, beating Monobel comfortably . by three lengths, Alother Goose a: head away third. . Time, 2mm 381 . S ° Epsom Handicap, 1 mile.—Melo- : drama 1, Blue Book 2, lolaire 3. All acceptors started. Proportion was TSfter soon led by a couple of lengths, ; . and before reaching six furlongs Sea / King and Soultline were two lengths ahead of lolairo and War Star. At the half-mile Soultline led by. a length. The field clustered coming round the bend, and Soultline and loliare led past the distance. At tho half distance Blue Book appeared to bo the winner, but Melodrama, finishing with great determination won by half-a-neck, lolaire a head away third. Time, Imm 39*sec. Spring Stakes, U miles.—Alooltan j 1 Sir Aymer 2, Maranui 3. 1 hero, were, seven starters. Cross Battery led off from Alooltan, with Peru and Maranui last. The positions were unchanged till the mile post was reached Here Alaranui assumed the lead, and was throe lengths ahead at the half-mile. Cross. Battery joined Alaranui, and the pair led to the, straight- Near the. distance Alooltan, took charge, and Sir Aymer made a rrreat run, but Alooltan won by three-; garters of a length. Time, 2min Handicap, seven furlongs. —Cooper top 1, Aziirmo 2, Black Alark 3. There wore seventeen staitcrs. Won by half-a-lcngtli. Time,; lmin 28sec. I
