There was a large attendance, including tho Governor-General and tho Governors of West Australia and New South Wales. Results: — , Hurdles, 2] miles.—Oelus 1, 1 ort Light 2, Jowel Case 3. Derby, li miles.—Parseo 1, Alonobel 2, Alother Goose 3. Thero were nine starters. Baw Bee, Lord Nolan, and Vavasor wero the first to show from a splendid start. Passing the old standj Alother Goose and ■fi Perkeo wero leading from Monobo , and stowed the way along the back stretch from Alonobel, with Anki and Lord Nolan and tho rest close up. The positions were unchanged till the mile post was reached Here Alaranui assumed the lead, and was throe lengths ahead at the half-mile. Cross. Battery joined Alaranui, and the pair led to the, straight- Near the. distance Alooltan, took charge, and Sir Aymer made a rrreat run, but Alooltan won by three-; garters of a length.
