GISBORNE CLUB

OFFICIAL OPENING

The official opening of the Gisborne Bowling" Club will, weather permitting, take place on the club s green, Kafti, this afternoon, commencing at 2 p.m., when a match will be played between rinks chosen by the President and Vice-President. The opemim ceremony will be officially performed at 3 p.m., and Messrs Vita Bros, orchestra will be in attendance. Notwithstanding tlie heavy rain which fell yesterday, it was decided in the afternoon to hold the opening to-day if the weather be fine, or even moderately fine. The comittce is anxious to have the opening to-day in view of the fact that next AVednesda.v (the holiday) will he Labor Day, and on the following Thursday the Turanganui Club proposes to hold then opening day.
