KENNEL CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING.

WELLINGTON, Oct. 16
The annual meeting of the New Zealand Kennel Club was hol’d ;in Wellington yesterday. The balancer sheet showed -a credit balance of £32. Officers were elected as follows: President, IM-r. Paul Hunter (Porangaliau, -Hawke’s Bay); executive committee, -Messrs W. Ryan (Auckland), R. S. Menzies (Dunedin), W. F. O’Donnell {Manawatu), W. Jamson (Wellington); treasurer, Air. W 1 Janson; auditor, (Mr. C. J. Sa-lter; secretary, 'Mr. H. Davey. It was resolved that, in view of the confusion existing as to -what constituted a challenge class, the class be defined simply ns the first (prize in every class there, t<> be judged again in the ring after the ordinary class competitions, and a challenge certificate to be issued by the New Zealand Kennel -Club for any challenge won. It was also decided to recommend that challenge classes of each breed be allotted each year.
