NEW AUCTION ROOMS.
MALCOLM AND CO.’S PREMISES
(Messrs F. S. -Malcolm and Co., auctioneers, removed into their new auction rooms at-the rear of Messrs Hallonstein Brothers’ new shop in Gladstone Road, on Saturday. The large rooms now occupied by 'Messrs Malcolm and Co. were specially erected for them, and are well lighted and much more convenient and commodious than their old premises in Lowe Street. Tho* rooms have been fitted with up-to-date, offices, desks, and rostrum, and dressed o>ut with the goods on 'sale present a very business-like appearance. Entrance' is gained from Gladstone Road, where a wido passage-way, with . raised flooring on either s'do on which .furniture can. be placed, 'leads into the rooms. By 7 this means the usual bustle of auctioneering right on to the main street is avoided, and buyers attending the sales ax*e able to make their purchases at auction, as (privately and a comfortably as in a shop.
