HORiSE'SALES

Messrs Williams und Kettle,. Ltd., yarded about 90 horses, including 30 light from the Waikato, at‘Wythe’s horse bazaar on 'Saturday. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition for the better sorts was brisk. The Waikato horses were all sold 'at from £ll 15s to £l7 IBs, hacks, brought from £8 15s to £lO 15s, and a. pony by Mars cold at £lO 15s. A trotting mare offered was passed .in at £25, andseveral draughts on offer failed to reach the reserves. PRODUCE MARKETS. Messrs F. S.,Malcol-m and Co., auctioneers. Gladstone Road, report the following prices at their produce sales on Saturday: —'Hens 2s 6d to 3s, eggs la to Is Id, butter lOd, potatoes 12s Gd sack, onions 2d lb, small vegetables at recent quotations. Messrs Miller und Craig report the following prices realised at their produce isales on Saturday 7 : —Hens 2s Gd to 3s Id, roosters 2s 9d to 3s. 2d, ducks 2s lOd to 3s, turkeys 10s, chickens Is, eggs l.s to Is Id, butter lOd to Is, honey 4£d Lb,’ cabbages 5s 9d sack, horse carrots 3s sack, table carrots 2s 9d dozen bundles, lemons Gd dozen, apples 4s 3d ease, rhubarb lOd 'bundle, cauliflowers 5s dozen, bacon lOd lb, onions lid- lb. There was an exceptionally 7, large entry 7 of poultry 7, 200 head being sold amder the hammer. FURNITURE SALE. Messrs F. S. Malcolm and Go. held a most successful sale of furniture on behalf of Messrs Taylor and Co., furniture warehousemen, Peel Street, on Saturday afternoon. There was a large attendance of buyers, and most of the lines offered -were cleared at .satisfactory prices. The balance of the stock will be offered at auction next Saturday. WOOL.
