UNMANNERLY SCHOOL CHI L-
DREN
Thc lack of parental control is no doubt responsible for a good deal of the bad behaviour in the rising generation, and apparently some of the public school tea-chers are as lax as the parents. An. extraordinary feature of last night’s assemblage of the public school children, under the auspices of tho Navy League (says the “Post”) was the sustained and voluminous hooting when prize-winners wore receiving their books—of Clyde Quay pupils by Mount Cook, Willis Street by Clyde Quay or Mount Cook and several other schools that, apparently, hold them in dislike.
