BOWLING.
GISBORNE CLUB,
Though the weather on Saturday afternoon was decidedly unfavorable for bowling, sufficient members of the Gisborne Club put in an appearance on the green for two .full-rink games to be played. Despite interruptions by rain, those present had an enjoyable afternoon. The games played resulted as follows : —Pavitt, Poultridge, T. Clarkson, Ponsford '(skip) boat Wootton, Wilson, Hookey, and Witty (skip) 13; Boulton, Kyme, Brown, and Simson (skip) 22 beat Exall, Collins, Pcttic, and Martin (skip) 17. TURANGANUI CLUB. The rain on Saturday afternoon interfered with play on the Turangunui Club’s green, and no games were finished. The following gentlemen were elected members of the club: Messrs W. Hay, E. Cussens, J. Maynard, and R. Thelwall. Entries, which will close on November 7th, are being received for Handicap Fours, for which bowls have been presented by Messrs G. Matthewson, H. Martin, White Maekay, and J. Burns and Co.
