The schooner Lady Kensington, bound for Trinidad, was seized by Venezuelan officials while lying becalmed off the Venezuelan coast. The passengers, and crew were imprisoned. Apparently the seizure was mado in pursuance of a decree of President Castro, practically prohibiting trade between Venezuela and Trinidad. The British Minister at Caracas i$ investigating the matter!.
