SATISFACTORY FINANCES

DUN ED IN, Nov. 12. The Presbyterian General Assembly continued its sittings to-day. The treasurer’s statement showed that the amount received from congregations during the year was £9820 16s 2d, over £BOO more than last year. Accumulated funds were £109,537 12s 2d, an increase of nearly ' £IO.OOO for the year. The residential building college fund received £BSOO from the estate of the late S. ‘Wilson, of Oamaru, and the aged and infirm ministers’ fund received £BSOO from the same source, and £IOO from tlie estate of the late D. Smith, Dunedin. The report was adopted.
It was decided to meet in Christchurch next year, the time of meeting to be fixed by the committee. The Rev. I. Jolley was appointed Moderator for the next Assembly.
WOMEN’S MISSSONARY UNION.
DUNEDIN, Nov. 12
At the annual meeting of the Presbyterian Woman’s Missionary Union of New Zealand to-day, it was decided to hold the next annual meeting at Christchurch.
