At a largely-attended meeting of sa wmi Hers to-day the depression in the timber trade and the heavy accumulation .stocks were discussed. The general opinion was that the position had never been so acute. It was unanimously resolved to reduce the output by at least one-tliird, and that af.l mills close down on sth December.
