Replying to a. question, Mr. Asquith said that the Government accepted the two-Power standard, combined with a strength in armored vessels of ten per cent above the ships , the two next strongest Powers. The statement was received with cheering from both sides of the House. Most of the newspapers express great approval of it. ~
