LONDON, Nov. 13. Mr. T. R. Buchanan, Under-Secre-tary for India, in the House of Commons, expressed the Government’s admiration -of Maharajah Burdwan’s heroism in defending Sir A.‘ T. Fraser.

Desperadoes waited outside liis Domicile intending to kill Chandra Dass, the informer in the State trial at Alipur, but another man, one of liis relatives, who emerged, was terribly stabbed in mistake. Tlie desperadoes escaped, and there is no clue to their ident'itiy.
