THE CHURCH AND NO-LICENSE
[To the Editor.]
Sir,—l feel that I would like to express my feedings with regard to the stand the ministers of this town are taking on the great question of Nolicense. They are working so hard, for Avh.nt? Not for the gold, but for humanity ; for the sake of the young
men tint we see drunk on our streets ; yes, and women, too. But I feel til ill I must give .special praise to the Lev. L. Dawson Thomas, because it lias always seemed to me that many of the Church of England ministers are afraid to give their opinion on tliis question. Now, I think the Rev. Dawson Thomas is taking a
noble stand. I am proud of our vicar. and 1 shall attend church with the feeling that I am listening to a man who cares more lor the teachings of Christ than for gold.—l am, etc., “A MOTHER.”
