At the Magistrate’s Court tin’s morning, Hon. Jolm Barr, M.L.G., was charged with using abusive language at one of Dr. Thacker’s political meetings at Sumner by calling James Wilson, who was employed to collect questions, "A dirty, low down cur” and "A damned traitor.” Defendant was convicted, and fined 40s and costs.
