RESOLUTION OF GOVERNMENT SUPPORTERS.

GORE, Nov. 23. At a meeting of supporters of the Government to-night, a resolution was passed expressing regret as the Hon. H. McNab’s defeat, and the hope that he will ere long re-enter politics, as the Dominion can ill spare a man oh .such ability and integrity; and that his 'administration of the Lands and Agricultural Departments has given entire satisfaction to the majority of the electors throughout the Dominion. . A BITTER ATTACK. PALMERSTON N„ Nov. 23, Referring to Mr. McNab’s defeat, Mr. JBuiclc, in his address to-night, said that it was the best thing that could have happened to the country, and he honed it would he lasting. Mr McNab’s own constituency had put him out because they were -ashamed of him,
