ROWING.

POVERTY BAY CLUB

A meeting of the committee of the Poverty Bay Rowing Club was hold last evening, when it was decided to row the first heat for Mr. O. Morse’s trophy next Saturday. The races will be rowed on tho Taruheru river, and the handicaps will be declared on Thursday evening. Mr. A. McConnell was appointed" starter, and Mr. C. Morse judge. A donation of £5 os was received from the President (Mr. E. P. Joyce), while two donations were received from Messrs F. IT. Traill and D. Moore.
